Spring 2024 CRN: 12555 PHIL 3160 - Ethics In Engineering & Tech
An examination of ethical issues in engineering. Topics include: engineering as a profession; codes of ethics; engineering in business, industry and government; responsibilities to employers, clients, and society; conflicts of interest; safety and risk; whistle blowing; environmental concerns; and choosing careers in engineering and technology. This course satisfies WMU Essential Studies Level 2: Exploration and Discovery – Science and Technology Category. This course also meets the Planetary Sustainability student learning outcome.
